You will be collected from either Johannesburg’s OR Tambo International Airport or your hotel in Johannesburg for your private transfer to Entabeni Nature Conservancy, Approx travelling time is 3 hours.
Entabeni Nature Conservancy is situated in the Waterberg region. This 22000 ha malaria-free reserve boasts five eco-systems. The upper escarpment offers majestic craggy rock formations and wide open grass plains. This is separated from the lower plateau by 600 meter high cliffs. The lower escarpment is about three degrees warmer and comprises sandy wetlands.
Arrive in time for lunch. At approximately 15h30 – 16h00 it is time for an afternoon/evening game drive in an open 4×4 Land Rover together with your knowledgeable guide (Game Ranger) and other guests from the lodge. Stop to enjoy a spectacular African sunset with a sundowner drink and snacks before returning to the lodge in the dark, where you may be lucky to spot a rare nocturnal animal with the aid of powerful torches. Dinner served under the stars.
After breakfast, you will be collected for a transfer to Legend Golf & Safari Resort where you will play a round of golf at this unique golf course. The course has been designed by 18 leading golfers, with each hole having a different designer. The designers include amongst others Retief Goosen, Thomas Björn, Colin Montgomerie, Sergio Garcia and Luke Donald.
After your round of golf and if the weather permits you can take up the challenge that is the Extreme 19th. The longest Par 3 in the world (400 m horizontal distance) also involves a 430 m drop in elevation from tee to green and as a result, the tee can only be reached by helicopter.
The early rise followed by coffee and rusks and then a morning game drive. Other than the Big 5 there are great opportunities to see all sorts of creatures, both big and small and you ranger is an expert on the area’s flora and fauna. Enjoy a hearty breakfast before having time to relax during the heat of the day, either at the pool or in the comfort of your room. In the late afternoon, it once again times for a game drive in the hope of seeing some more exciting sightings. Dinner is served at the lodge on your return.
Enjoy another round of golf at the challenging Legend Golf & Safari Resort. After your round of golf, you may choose to try your hand at the 10-hole Tribute course which is based on some of the world’s most famous golf holes including the 17th at TPC Sawgrass and 12th at Augusta. Afternoon/evening game drive if your golfing exploits are finished in time.
The final game drive followed by breakfast and checkout. You will then be collected for a private transfer back to Johannesburg International Airport.
