Itinerary: Day-to-day
Day 1: Thanda Game Reserve or Phinda Game Reserve
Upon arrival at Durban International Airport you will be met and transferred to your chosen game lodge, approximately a 3 hour drive. Alternatively collect your rental car at the airport and drive to your chosen lodge. Upon arrival at the lodge check in and enjoy a delicious lunch. In the late afternoon you head out for a game drive in open 4×4 vehicles. After several hours you stop to enjoy a spectacular sunset with a sundowner drink and snacks before returning to the lodge in the dark, where you may be lucky to spot a rare nocturnal animal with the aid of powerful torches. Dinner is served weather permitting under the African stars. (FB)
Day 2 & 3: Thanda Game Reserve or Phinda Game Reserve
Full days on safari: Morning game activity followed by late breakfast. Several hours at your own leisure where you can either lie by the pool or enjoy reading on your deck. High tea is served followed by an afternoon game drive. A sumptuous dinner once again awaits you upon your return to the lodge. (FB)
Day 4: Rocktail Beach Camp or Thonga Beach Lodge
Early morning game viewing activity followed by breakfast. After checkout you will be collected for your transfer or you will drive in your rental car to either Rocktail Beach Camp or Thonga Beach Lodge, approx a 31⁄2 hours drive. Arrive at the Camp in the late afternoon. (FB)
DAY 5 & 6: Rocktail Beach Camp or Thonga Beach Lodge
Full day to choose from the wide variety of activities on offer which include scuba diving, guided snorkelling and seasonal turtle drives/walks. Alternatively enjoy your time relaxing on the beach or by the pool. (FB)
DAY 7: Checkout
After breakfast and checkout you will be collected for your return transfer, or drive yourselves, back to Durban International Airport in time for your onward bound flight.
