Itinerary: Day-to-day
Day 1: Nairobi
Upon arrival at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta Airport you will be met and then transferred to your hotel in Nairobi. Rest of the day at your own leisure.
Day 2: Amboseli National Park
After breakfast you are transferred to Wilson Airport for your scheduled flight to Amboseli National Park, located to the south east of Nairobi. The Park is famous for its big game and scenic beauty with the landscape dominated by Mt. Kilimanjaro. On arrival, you are met by the camp representative for transfer with a game drive en route to arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive in a shared vehicle until sunset. Dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Amboseli National Park
Spend a further day in the park on morning and afternoon game viewing drives in a shared vehicle. Wildlife here includes the zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, impala, caracal and serval cat, lion, leopard, cheetah, buffalo among others. There are also over 400 species of birds, including the bee-eater, kingfisher, African fish eagle, martial eagle and pygmy falcon. Visitors mainly come to watch the huge herds of elephants.
DAY 4: Samburu National Park
After breakfast, you are transferred to the airstrip for your schedule flight to Wilson Airport. On arrival, connect with your schedule flight to Samburu Game Reserve which is within the land of the colourful Samburu people, close relatives of the Maasai, and harbours a number of wildlife species found only north of the equator. On arrival, you are met by the camp representative for transfer with a game drive en-route arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon game viewing drive in a shared vehicle until sunset. Samburu game reserve offers unique vistas of rounded and rugged hills and undulating plains. The mix of wood and grassland with riverine forest and swamp is home to a wide variety of animal and birdlife. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 5: Samburu National Park
Spend the next day in the Reserve where game viewing and visibility excellent. Bird life is superb with over 380-recorded species and game whi includes reticulated giraffes, Grevy’s zebras, elephants, Oryx, Somali ostri hippos, crocodiles, gerenuk, buffaloes, lions, leopards, cheetahs and hyen Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
DAY 6: Maasai Mara National Park
After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your schedule flight to Maasai Mara Game Reserve, so named to mean the “spotted plains” in Maa language. This is home to the greatest concentration of large mammals and is widely recognised as Africa’s ultimate wildlife reserve. The park is the northern extension to the vast Serengeti-Mara ecosystem, famous for its annual migration of wildebeest. On arrival, you are met by the camp representative for transfer to the Camp arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon games drive in a shared vehicle until sunset. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 7: Maasai Mara National Park
During your stay, you have the opportunity to explore this great reserve in-depth. You will have the chance to see elephant, giraffe, prides of lion, and thousands of impala, topi, grants and Thomson’s gazelle. Birds are prolific including immigrants, 450 bird species have been recorded among them 57 birds of prey. The Mara is the scene of the annual migration of millions of wildebeest up from the Serengeti plains in search of water and grasses. While in Mara, you have the option to float above the Mara-Serengeti ecosystem onboard a hot air balloon followed by a gourmet champagne breakfast. You can also visit a Maasai tribal village and enjoy entertainment by Maasai dancers (Both these options are at an extra cost).
DAY 8: Checkout
After breakfast transfer to the airstrip for your schedule flight to Wilson Airport in Nairobi. On arrival, you are met by a representative for a transfer to JKIA for your outbound flight
